I joined my first veterinary practice at the age of 16 as a YTS student in Animal Care and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1991. I later went on to complete the Diploma in Advanced Surgical Nursing, before finally topping up to a Veterinary Nursing degree which also covered practice management, in 2017.
I remained at the same practice for almost 30 years before leaving my role as Assistant Hospital Manager and moving to Walpole & Bingham (now Carmel Veterinary Centre) in March 2018 to take on the role of Practice Manager.
When working as an RVN I particularly enjoyed anaesthesia, radiography and dentistry.
I enjoy learning and hope to achieve an ILM level 5 qualification in the future.
